The HID Fargo INK1000 single sided ID card printer uses the already popular and well tested inkjet technology – the same as you would find in a standard office printer or copier.

The 600 dpi x 1200 dpi print resolution combined with inkjet printing technology enables incredibly sharp and vibrant print images, and also gives the benefit of full edge-to-edge printing - which is not possible on a usual dye sublimation printer!

Compact and stylish the HID Fargo INK1000 sits easily in any environment, and the inkjet cartridge is easy to fit and replace. These ink cartridges are far more efficient than the traditional ribbon based method of printing on ID cards, and is also far more eco-friendly as there is only very minimal plastic wastes in the form of the finished ink cartridge.

Data security is very high with this method of printing as unlike a traditional ribbon fed printer which retains the data on the ribbon, the fact that this uses a ink cartridge instead means there is no data picked up at all, and therefore no prospect of a GDPR breach from this.
